It is so exciting that you are dating or engaged to a man in the military!!! This is such a special season in your life as God brings the two of you together. Among all the exhilaration, anticipation, and joy, it’s often difficult to know how to deal with the long-distance or the lack of knowledge of what you are getting yourself into.
But all good things! This is why I am here writing these posts for you. I want to provide an opportunity for you to get somewhat of an understanding about what comes along with dating or marrying a man in the military, especially as a Christian woman.
There were plenty of ladies around me to counsel me and advice me on all things marriage, but there were hardly any women I knew that had advice for me about being a military wife. Even before that, I didn’t know anyone who had experienced dating a man in the military and I would’ve loved to have advice and encouragement from someone as I dated my man.
So I will do my best to tackle everything that you may want to know when it comes to being in a relationship with a military member.
