Hi friends! I’m Brittany!
I am so excited you have found Boldly Rise! Whether you’ve been told about this blog by a friend or stumbled upon it, you are joining a community of like-minded women seeking to live their life for Christ. As we all journey through life together as women of faith, it is my hope and prayer that you are emboldened for Christ and filled with encouragement, advice, and ideas in all aspects of life. I am in this with you too!
But before we start this journey together, let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I started Boldly Rise.
A little bit about me!
My passion is to live for Jesus amidst the joy and the struggles of life. I am an Air Force wife to the most amazing man (and my best friend). We have two adorable doggies – Moose and Duncan – which, if I’m being honest, are more like kids. I love the outdoors, home decor, woodworking, DIY’s, writing, painting, hand lettering, creating, and sharing life.
Why start Boldly Rise?
Shortly after my husband and I got married, I was lost and confused about what I should do with my time. We’ve moved around a lot (and I know we’ll move plenty of times in the future), but I wanted something consistent, something I could take with me, something to do for the Lord. I’ve always known that my passion includes Jesus, but I struggled to know what to do with that passion.
It was during this time that I was encouraged by a couple people to start a blog to encourage and help Christian women and Christian military wives/girlfriends. I felt God pulling on my heart in this direction, but to be honest, I was a little scared. I knew nothing about blogging or creating a website. But with a little push from my husband and my mama, I started Boldly Rise in January 2018.
In His perfect timing, God showed me that I can use this blog to:
+Embolden Christian women to spread their faith in all aspects of life
+Advise, encourage, and sympathize with women as we go through similar things.
+Share everyday ideas to keep Christ at the foundation of everything, even in decor, DIY’s, homemaking, etc.
+Help women as they go through the military wife life and help prepare military girlfriends/fiancés
+Have fun sharing life as a Christian woman
YOU are the reason I started this blog. It’s not entirely for me, but it’s how God is allowing me to use the gifts He’s given me for His kingdom, His glory, and for you (though I do get a lot of enjoyment out of blogging too!).
