This new section is called “Digging into Proverbs 31.”
I thought it’d be really good to go verse by verse and dig deeper into what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Each post will be designated to one verse of Proverbs 31, going in consecutive order. Just remember, the Proverbs 31 passage we are focusing on starts on verse 10, so the first post will be on verse 10, not verse 1.
We will look at:
- The multiple characteristics this acrostic poem describes of an excellent wife
- How each verse relates to your life
- How we can live these out or how to apply it to our lives toward our husband (and kids if you’ve got ‘em)
- And more…
I want you to bear in mind that when you read these posts and these verses, they’re based off of a good, healthy marriage with Christ as the foundation. There are so many different things that infiltrate our marriages causing them to struggle, whether for a short or long period of time. So you may read some of these and wonder how you can ever accomplish being a Proverbs 31 wife with the current circumstances you’re facing in your marriage. But read these verses as encouragements. Read these verses as new goals for you. Only you, with the help of Christ, can change whether you’re an excellent and rare wife (verse 10).
I’m excited to go through each verse and dig deeper into this passage. I’m hoping and praying that going through all these verses will make you a more Christ-like wife to your husband (and kids if you’ve got ‘em). And I can’t wait for you to read through them and hopefully be able to take away something from it.
Don’t be afraid to email or post your questions or comments:) I’d love to hear from you.

I don’t know of any that specifically pertain to Proverbs 31. But Jen Wilkin has a really good book called “In His Image” that definitely fits in line with Proverbs 31. It’s worth checking out:)
