Home decor + God’s Word is a beautiful combination to bring into our homes. The way we decorate our house as Christian women should be sprinkled with reminders of Christ. And why not? Our homes are our mission fields, both for guests who walk in the front door and for those who reside there. Whether you create your own signs or are looking for decor with verses, I want to give you a handful of encouraging verses to use in your home decor.
I intentionally fill my home with wood signs, prints, and decorative decor containing verses from God’s Word. When people walk through our door, I want them to be exposed to the Word of God – whether they know it or not. And for my family and myself, having verses in different locations around the house gives us encouragement and reminders of the hope we have in Jesus no matter what room we’re in.
Verses to use in your home decor
1. Joshua 24:15 says, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
2. Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”
3. Proverbs 3:5, “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
4. Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
5. 1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.”
6. Psalm 95:6 “Let us worship and kneel before the Lord.”
7. John 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
8. Colossians 1:17 “And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
9. Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
10. Lamentations 3:23 “Great is your faithfulness.”
11. Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
12. Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadows of the Almighty.”
13. Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to for my path.”
14. Nehemiah 8:10 “For the joy of the Lord is my strength.”
15. 1 John 2:27 “Abide in Him.”
16. Ecclesiastes 4:12 “A cord of three is not easily broken.”
17. Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
